Contact us

For help with then i said, email support@thenisaid.com. Tell us what happened, which iPhone/iOS version you use, and your app version if you know it. Please do not send sign-in links, passwords or private recordings.

If you are signed in, you can also open Settings → Send feedback. Your message includes app version, build number and OS version. The checkbox You can email me about this feedback. starts off; select it if you want to include your account email for a reply. The app confirms receipt after the service accepts the report. If it cannot confirm receipt, keep the form open and tap Retry. Leaving the form clears its draft.

Signing in

For email sign-in, enter your address and request a link. Open the email on your iPhone and follow the link back to then i said. If the link is invalid or has expired, request another. Check spam/junk and use the same address as the request. Apple and Google sign-in are also shown when available/configured in the app.

Recording and saving

Start from a prompt or the record button. Allow microphone access when asked. Stop recording, listen back and select who the memory is about before saving. Saving and playing cloud recordings need an internet connection. If saving fails, follow the retry message while your recording is still open. Avoid discarding it until you are ready to lose that draft.

If microphone or notification access is denied, review then i said's permissions in your iPhone's Settings. You can use the core collection without enabling optional notifications.

Sharing and removing access

Memories start private. In a saved memory, choose Share, enter the recipient's full handle and confirm the displayed recipient. A first share can require the recipient to accept a request. In the same share panel, use Remove beside a recipient to revoke access.

Removing access prevents future access through the app. It cannot make someone forget a story or erase a copy they made outside the app. A received memory can become unavailable if its owner removes access, deletes it or deletes their account.

The Inbox request menu includes Block sender and Report. Reporting and blocking are distinct actions. Use the verified support address for an urgent concern; do not include private memory audio in an initial request.

Deleting a memory or account

Open a memory you own, use its menu and choose Delete memory, then confirm. This also removes sharing access; a recipient may retain an unavailable entry in their Inbox history.

For the full account, open Settings → Delete account and complete the sign-in verification and confirmation shown. Account deletion is permanent. It removes the account and associated private app data, including owned recordings and avatar files through the cleanup process. Support tickets and operational records have separate handling described in the privacy policy.

For privacy requests or if you cannot access your account, contact support@thenisaid.com. We will verify account ownership before acting; do not send a sign-in link as proof.
